It is well known today that achieving high quality in rubber manufacturing is not as easy as it seems, regardless of advanced technology or not.
Success in manufacturing technical rubber products is depending upon many parameters which have substantial Influence on the final product. There are few types of used rubber presses for the rubber industry. For producing Rubber products, compression presses are in wide spread use as the basic principle that stands behind them is the utilization of heated platens on which the mold is placed and closed with a top force. Then, pressure is applied to force the material into contact with all mold areas, while heat and pressure are maintained until the molding material has cured. Parameters such as press platen size and clamping force as well as heating system which might be operated by steam or oil will eventually determine the quality of the product.
These used rubber presses are mainly geared to manufacture various kinds of technical rubber such as: conveyors belts, O-rings, sealing, air springs, hoses and profiles. Their configuration is varied between one press to the other depending on the components meant to be vulcanized.
It could be performed within C frame press or H frame press. There are some cases which few cylinders are provided in order to generate sufficient clamping force.
In the past, most of the cylinders were located above the press, however due to the need to avoid leakages into the mold, most of them are located beneath.
As the cost of used rubber presses is essentially lower then new presses, it is obvious that purchasing used rubber presses is most likely to be more economical and long-term worthwhile.
